Reports & Policies

Annual Sustainability Reports

Since 2010 Lindt & Sprüngli annually reports about the progress we are making with regards to sustainability.

Sustainability Policies

The significance Lindt & Sprüngli attaches to responsible corporate behavior is reflected in different group policies, which define the way Lindt & Sprüngli is doing business.

Farming Program: Theory of Change

The Theory of Change describes the rationale of change the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program aims to create. It links the interventions (inputs) of the Program to the aimed outputs, outcomes, and the long-term impact the Program aims to achieve.

Farming Program: Verification Guidance

The Verification Guidance document sets the foundation for the verification in the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program. Further, the document contains the minimum requirements the farmers should be able to fulfill after having attended all the training modules.

Farming Program: External Assessments Methodology of Earthworm Foundation

The External Assessments Methodology for the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program explains the standard procedure for external assessments conducted by the Earthworm Foundation. This methodology allows us to consistently compare achievements and progress in the implementation of the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program across countries, implementation partners, and years. It also aims to increase transparency regarding the methodology applied during the assessment.

No-Deforestation & Agroforestry Action Plan

As part of our participation in the Cocoa & Forests Initiative, we developed the No-Deforestation & Agroforestry Action Plan which outlines our approach to achieving a deforestation-free cocoa supply chain by 2025. Progress is reported annually.

Child Labor Monitoring and Remediation System (CLMRS)

Lindt & Sprüngli strongly condemns all forms of child labor. Tackling child labor is a priority and we are firmly committed to avoiding it whenever possible. To provide clear guidance to our suppliers on how to effectively protect children’s rights and support them to comply with our Lindt & Sprüngli Supplier Code of Conduct, we have developed our own CLMRS Guidance (Community Child Protection System).

Human Rights Policy

Conducting business in an ethical, legal, and environmentally and socially responsible manner is an integral part of Lindt & Sprüngli’s Guiding Principles. Therefore, with our Human Rights Policy, we implemented a due diligence process aimed at preventing, mitigating, or ceasing adverse human rights and environmental impacts throughout the organization and our supply chain.
